The Woman I Knew
The woman I knew has faded away.
Faded all of her yesterdays.
The woman I knew is gone, gone away.
For days, weeks, months on end.
Life she cannot comprehend.
The woman I knew is lost, lost her emotion.
Life blended with commotion.
The woman I know is searching, searching deep inside.
Looking for answers, reasons why.
The woman I know is struggling, struggling to find the light.
She feels hollow inside.
Lost her quality of life.
The woman I know is someone else.
Someone she doesn't recognize.
Her life a disguise.
The woman I know stares in the mirror
Now a stranger stares back with a dark glare.
The woman I know is scared.
Scared for she is unaware of what has caused this despair.
